Women in Property Shine Light on Homeless

Women in Property Shine Light on Homeless

The who’s who of Adelaide property attended the Fabulous Women in Property Luncheon, held on October 10th at the Intercontinental, proudly hosted by Edge Recruitment.

The highlight of the lunch was a stirring speech by Amanda Vanstone, former Senator for South Australia, former Australian Ambassador to Italy and Patron of The Hutt Street Centre.

She shared her personal experiences in politics and her thoughts about the ‘drive through democracy’ attitude many Australians have towards our political system. Delivered with humour, she stressed that many Australians vote without taking a serious interest in our democracy. Her sharp wit and frank comments had the audience in stitches.

The ninth luncheon brought together women in property, real estate and related industries to raise money for the Hutt Street Centre. Ladies were treated to pre-lunch drinks and entertainment, a delicious lunch, fine wines, raffle prizes and a stunning Jewellery prize from Adelaide Jeweller, Nicholas Pike.

Lyn Shea from Adelaide Relocations was the lucky winner of stunning jewellery prize valued at $4000 from Nicholas Pike, Jeweller.

All proceeds went to the event’s charitable partner; the Hutt Street Centre – an organisation doing amazing work assisting homeless and vulnerable people in Adelaide.

The delightful Briony Hume, presenter for Channel 7’s SA Life TV kept things running smoothly as emcee for the event.
