Industry Memberships for Property Professionals
Being a member of an industry association is an excellent way to network with other professionals in your sector, access industry research, resources and training, keep up to date with industry news and attend member events.

Urban Development Institute of Australia (SA)
The Urban Development Institute of Australia is a representative body for the urban development industry in Australia. As an independent, private sector association, the UDIA goes to bat for the industry, lobbying and influencing Government policy and provides a voice for developmental matters.
Membership is open to public corporations, financial institutions or individuals or businesses directly involved in the production, finance or marketing of urban property developments.

Australian Property Institute (SA)
To be a member of the API, one must have qualifications in a relevant discipline such as valuation, planning, property law, economics or building studies, to name a few. Those working towards their qualification in any one of these areas can become a ‘student’ member.
The API acts as advisor, advocate and campaigner for the property industry. Originally set up as the Commonwealth Institute of Valuers, ‘the Institute’ has amended its name over the years to service the changing skillset of its members. The API prides itself on its highly qualified members, professional practice standards, code of conduct and excellent member resources.
The API also hosts the Young Property Professionals (YPP), an arm of the API providing networking events and support for young people (under 35’s) in the industry.
Real Estate Institute (SA)
The Real Estate Institute SA (REISA) is the peak professional body supporting real estate professionals in South Australia. They lobby on behalf of their members, work to maintain high standards of professionalism in the industry and provide education and training not just to members, but also to the general public. The media head straight to the REI for commentary on trends and activities in real estate.
Their members come from all areas of real estate including residential sales, business broking, property management, conveyancing, valuations and more.

The Property Council of Australia (SA)
The Property Council of Australia (PCA) acts as an advocate, actively campaigning for the interests of the property industry within the political arena. Its members are investors, property owners and developers, as well as those who provide services to the industry.
The PCA hosts events and workshops, provides research and professional development courses and keeps its members informed of industry news and trends via a range of communications. The PCA also provides marketing opportunities to its members.
