Closer look at Valuer Salaries
The latest snapshot report from our salary portal salarycentral.com.au focuses on the valuation industry in South Australia and features some fascinating insights about valuer salaries. Launched in August 2015 the portal provides detailed information about salaries in the property industry including median salary, gender split, median bonus, years of experience and more.
The results give the property industry meaningful data on what people are really being paid per sector in South Australia. Represented as an infographic, the results encompass data from both Adelaide and regional South Australia and include RPV and CPV qualified valuers. As more data is added to the site over time, we will be able to provide further observations such as comparisons between residential and commercial valuer salaries and base pay and bonuses pursuant to years of experience.
Highlights from the report:
- In South Australia almost a third of valuers have between 3 and 5 years of experience. The next largest group equalling 16% of those surveyed possess 31+ years of experience. Interestingly graduates with 1-2 years of experience only make up 8% of valuers.
- 33% of valuers have gone beyond their initial degree to gain postgraduate qualifications.
- 35% of valuers in South Australia are female which shows the industry is still significantly male dominated.
The salary portal operates on a “give to get” model. Users provide accurate and anonymous salary data by answering questions about their current role, and in return they get access to all the salary information shared by other members.
